Instructions
1 • Download a free 30-day trial of Autodesk Maya 2009 (see Resources below for link). If you're ready to buy software, you can buy it on the Autodesk website.
2 • Familiarize yourself with the Maya looking at the table "Overview of the Maya user interface." Print table and display it next to your computer while you are working with Maya.
• Follow the three "Introduction to Maya" tutorials. The lessons provide a brief introduction to the main features of the software. The tutorials can be downloaded for free from Autodesk Maya Services & Support web site.
Demonstrations • 4 Free download video on the website of Autodesk Maya. It begins with a video titled "Modeling and mapping speed." The video will show you some of the selection tools of Maya, as the selection tool and drag the new real software selection tool. You will also learn how to use symmetrical patterns characteristic melting peaks. See the demo called "layers of animation" to learn how to mix, merge the layers and entertainment groups.
• 5 to buy the book "Learning Autodesk Maya 2009" by Autodesk Maya Press. A large 560-page book training you will learn to use Maya to create animations and models. It also includes a bonus DVD that contains a reference to guides, videos and 3D models for free.
